I haven't seen any of Dan Curtis' films, but I knew that this Woob sample was definetly from one of them. Dan Curtis' film -Intruders- was also sampled, in another excellent song called "Come in Piece" by Doubting Thomas. Oddly enough, I heard both these sound clips in a story about Dan Curtis on NPR's Morning Edition a very long time ago. I recognized both clips from the songs already, so the broadcast must have aired in the late 90's after both those songs had been released... ▪

Here are some quotes:
When's he coming back? How are you feeling?
- Oh, I'm better. Still a little cold. Claire, do you...
- Shhh! I heard something outside.
- What are you gonna do?
- Alex told me to shoot anyone who wants to come in here...
- Wait a minute, Claire, what did you hear?
- I know someone's out there.
In an interview to the magazine The Mix, Paul Frankland said:
The track "Strange Air" is all made up of bits from a film soundtrack, combined with a sound from a well-known pop tune which I won't mention. The dialogue on "Strange Air" is from a horror film that I wasn't even watching. I just found it on the audio track later. ▪

That clip on strange air and a couple of the other ones on wuub are from the horror movie Night of the Dark Shadows (1971). It was a movie based off the old, cheesy, low-budget horror series called Dark Shadows.
The track clips mentions the names "Claire" (Jenkins), "Alex" (Jenkins) and "Carlotta" (Drake), both of which are in the list of characters for this movie. I haven't actually seen this movie; but that's what I've been told and all the facts seem to check out. I can't find a local video rental place that has a copy. Maybe someone could verify for us? ▪
