Hello, I buy this CD in local shop in Moscow(Russia), where I live. And I buy other all CDs of "new" em:t (starting with em:t0003) in the same shop. Defects(clicks) have my 0004 only, other are good. The shop is not accept my offer to exchange this CD, they say - "because i was buy new unpacked CD and my demand is doubtful and advise me raise complaints to record label". I very, very like music, that you released and I don't have a claims or complaints to quality of record of all your CDs. To my regret, this on cd fall into my hands. In my previous message I report the fact only. I wish you every success and happiness!
sorry for delayed answer and bad english:) ▪

those clicks are probably just my shoddy programming. what can you do?

Hi Temp, I was surprised to hear that you have a faulty CD, we haven't recieved any other complaints about the quality. Where did you purchase the album? ▪
the music is good, but i was found my original cd is poor-quality,
because some tracks have a clicks:(( especially last track - "jiva" ▪
i listen compill. "its still an anxious age"fantastic, fantastic, thanx! ▪
back with their second album em:t records shines through with a new electrical and sampled surfaces.
the compilation em:t 0004 opens up as an addition to previous emit comps without feeling like them trying to better or out do, more… succeed in creating a set of original tracks, lined up to spell bind.
is it? by pueblo bonito (roger watson) starts by playing electrical purring that shuffle into notation, tone and beat. with heavy laser-like drawings, the track glides into openness.
freezbee by red leb (tom coirié) follows on to siren and force deep tones making the air pressurised; with rolling pips and ground up blips it moves the foreground, until the track lifts off.
antillia by andy hughes (from: the orb) drifts into shattered voice bites and sound bites that have an apparitional effect, with soft musical notes and clicks that trails and covers over them.
burning buildings by high skies (mat jarvis) makes a vast stretch of atoms that languidly bleep and bubble forward and over, with a background that shuffles space and distance into surrounding.
nautilus sub (jim murray) gives an oceanic bound banjo, that is strummed to the time of the blips, base line and currents. the body of the track takes the listener beneath watery sounds and into the volume of sound and musical accompaniment.
sud beatsystem (derek pierce) dislocates voice bites to generate tonal layering, causing surfaces that merge to form amplitude, that forms an audio mosaic.
ac harmonics international peoples gang (martyn watson & ric peet) sparkles into a rolling all-the-fun-of-the-fair welcoming, that collapses and bounces in and out. feel good, feel joyful.
thin faces fognode (brian siskind) offers shuddering sonics at the beginning that causes me to feel as if a celestial engine has be projected into mind; with the main bulk of the track feeling industrial the noise gathers with pulses, bird sound, keyboard, guitar, drum and flute.
lure of time farfield (nick webb) has a saxophone and guitar entrance that folds into a steam train undertone background, with violins and whining tones that scatter that sound forward. then leaning upon the bass, treble and piano into the exit.
jiva gel-sol (andrew reichel) has an easy on the ear track that flows more then it drifts. with a big sound that pushes the ending off into the distance. “carry on about your business.” ▪

Hi Forrest, Burning Buildings is a brand new track written by Mat Jarvis for the 0004 compilation. Red Green Blue on 0003 was off his unreleased album. Peace. ▪
I think it might be. Most of the stuff High Skies is releasing at the moment is stuff he wrote a few years ago as gas. I'm pretty sure red green blue was one from the unreleased album.
Anyway, to find out for sure, you can always go to highskies.com and ask him! ▪

does anyone know if "burning buildings" is off the unreleased gas 2298? or is it a recent high skies track? ▪
Hello Mr Slim Jim,
Glad you like the album... the word is that there are going to be at least two solo artist releases before the next compilation, and one shoud definitely be 1104... so hopefully not long to wait, although, as ever, no guarantees kids :) ▪

What a pleasant surprise! I find this quite amazing, but I believe that em:t0004 is possibly the best compilation yet (even better than 2295 and 2296). Most interestingly for me, though, is the fact that the outstanding tracks (to my ears) are by "new" em:t artists - the Andy Hughes, Sub and Fognode tracks are particularly impressive.
Any news on single-artist releases? Presumably these will have a --05 prefix! ▪

I have listened to this album as well and it is indeed excellent. The mixes linking the tracks are real smooth. The people who made this put in a lot of effort.
The exciting new discovery was the last three tracks. Fog node, farfield and gel sol are on my single-artist release wish list. I sure hope to hear more from these people in the future. Like renaud says: deeper and more textured... ▪

I have listened to this album and it is quite excellent. While 0003 was interesting, it didn't speak to my heart the way this album does. A deeper, more textured sound make it more emotional, and a fine combination of spacey/earthly tracks strike a uniquely "em:t" balance.
While traditional em:t heavyweights such as beatsystem (love that new piece sud btw!) and i.p.g bring some continuity, Em:t Records is doing a good job at finding new and very promising talent. Gel-Sol in particular comes to mind. Watch out for this man.
Overall, warmly recommended to all em:t fans! ▪

By the way, any news on when the pre-ordered CDs will be sent in the mail? ▪
Love the cover of this new release! Can't wait to get it. ▪
