I vote for woob (or journeyman) :) ▪
woob's drawin' gas. ▪
my voting has no reflection on the ratings i would really like to have added; however i felt if there was one track that has been of great presence for eight years in my life it was 'angles in t:me'.
i would have voted twice whenever the occasion was to arise..
also i was testing what the restrictions were on the poll system - as mentioned i've concluded that it's an honesty box system.
such as buying a good set of fruit and veg and knowing that the quality of the item deserves a better price though it will leave your pocket short, but no more then if you had to get to the shops to buy a similar thing.
as an old friend called hedd (welsh for peace) used to say when i played pool with him: "iron it - hit me now!" ▪

Great, now I can get myself to the top, George Dubya Bush style! Q ▪
it's more like an honesty box i guess - i voted for qubism twice; but man have all the numbers gone up since - maybe woob was a double shot of vodka perhaps...?
it's the same for me with 1198 2298 - but there is hope with the relaunch of the recovered division name - emerging as em:t records (reg.)
it's not long to wait before we can get hold of the new em:t0003 cd. stay tuned. ▪

Hi this poll is great but it's not good you can vote twice (I did just to check out :( (twice on Woob)) Think there's any way I could find 1198 and 2298? That are the only two I'm still missing. Thanks for this great site! Jean-Marc ▪

greetings all, I stumbled upon your site through discogs.com of which I am an avid user and editor on the site which is a electronic music database. more importantly though I wanted to say that I have most of your releases and they have meant a lot to me over the years in developing my tastes towards electonic music. thanks for all the memories and continued good work. for years I thought e:mit was defunct, I'm happy you're around, you have a cult following by ambient guru's.
thanks again, tim humphrey timhumphrey45@hotmail.com
p.s. ambient/glitch mix available if anyone would like. greetz all!!! ▪

captain,
i hope your writing them all down some where safe.
i know i don't like to let mine go out of memory.
i wrote to strawberry girl about the transcription of the spoken words this morning... in the new forthcoming ipg track... but i've checked and we don't actually have any full translations on the site of her works... bar what renaud has transposed.
i do feel that changing the words to english will alter the eloquence, but first hand revealments of these works would be wonderful to see... but only when there is t:me available to visit emit.cc would i ask for such input.
would anyone like a free copy of a local surf mag from the early 90's called any squash up there - it's packed with bits. once read you'll never read it a second t:me. i've loads of them; as i used to know the urf man himself. a legend in his own right. ▪

Hue, I'm fine thanks, just messing around with another suffix. ▪
mart,
have you hurt yourself, in an phyiscal world way??
as for the sh:ne newsletter... renaud? over to you. ▪
Apple's got a point y'know...a links page would be top. Oh and when's this 'Shine' thing gonna be happenin'? ▪
qub,
i'm sure the poll in no way reflects your popularity. though the repercussion of a bad rating will play havoc with the top of the pop's show next week.
does anyone know if the orb ever made a second appearance after they vowed never to be on the top of the pop's show again - not that it matters.
but it's curious how ambient music swerves out away from the lime light; a too bitter situation to get caught up in guess. but less and less these days are artist expected to reproduce the same similar sounds as their last hit - or maybe i've became more lenient with caring for that consistent audio familiar associated id's. nope it's just that i don't know what's going to arrive next and i'm keen for it to be new & original; or as close as it can get to that, whilst avoiding the second hand influences bestowed (whether we would like them or not). ▪

Oh shit I'm gonna hang myself cos I came last in the poll! No one loves me BOO HOO (except Hue!) I wonder if anybody even knows who I am? I'm not actually a blue chameleon, honest! I regularly go to restaurants with no reservation and try to blag my way in and say "Do you know who I am?!?!! It doesn't usually work and now I know why! (Extra info not apparent in text only format - I am laughing my arse off and not taking myself too seriously! Or..... I'm only joking, honest) ▪

em:t3000 or em:t3003 (as there is a t:me 2000 & t:me 1001)
international peoples gang - pool
gas - earthloop
scanner - red bruise
symetrics = :o :(
qubism - angels in t:me
bad data - borders
voodoo warriors of love - imagine
beatsystem - no jumping up and down / spooky action at a distance
strawberry girl - moonbeam
celia green - in the extreme
miasma - solipsis
dallas simpson - abha
total: 72'57"
note: (opening shot) pool - loop palindrome. & the near ending of dallas simpson track saying "i want to go back." tracks arranged in an order of play to make a comment about investigation. it's got balls from start to end - lol - rock en' roll. (with respect to the female artists - of which there is a good mix of male & female voices.)
if allowed extra t:me i would also add… slim -idyll. woob - giant stroke. natural language - blasted with ecstasy. undark - how safe is deep? carl stone - sudi mampir. but then i'm sure they have all got new works, that are just as impressive!!!!! ▪

Keep those votes coming y'all! Hey...an idea...howzabout you lot compiling your dream compilation of em:t tracks, only one allowed per artist and give us all an idea of your perfect 70 odd minutes of chilled listening. You never know, p'raps em:t could then try and secure permission and release it...certainly a collectors item? ▪

qubism's track angels in t:me has been for a long time my most played track that i own, out of everything in my whole CD collection. with voodoo warriors of love's track imagine following behind, a few non t:me recording releases.
but the miasma's sounds i keep returning to over and over, as with slim's album & celia green's works. - charles webster in all his many forms; gas; qubism; voodoo warriors of love; bad data; strawberry girl; undark; beatsystem; woob; natural language; are all favourites of mine. but it's the works of carl stone, ipg & dallas simpson that are just starting to expand my mind further still into the world of raw data.
though the compilation frog album which gets heard the most in my room (since 1995), and in my opinion is the point at which axis the ongoing apex of t:mem:t's voice is: em:t2295. em:t records please ref. back to this one whilst keeping in mind these t:me recording statements; at some stage:
"(off the map)" t:me 1995
"for enquiring minds in an anxious age." t:me 1995
"relief from the racket of everyday life." t:me 1996
"for the vibrating air enthusiast." t:me 1994
"giving people what you think they want is not creativity, merely commerce. t:me 1994
"in a climate which celebrates the disposable, the mindless & the mediocre some labels are happy to resist." t:me 1994 ▪

First emit album purchased and I knew then that Woob 1194 was unlike anything I have heard before in my life! The final track of the album (6) continually amazes me. Sub-aquatic atmosphere with penguins in the background drownded out by Sub engines.....that is just a guess by the way. Woob's second album was long awaited....but I prefer the first. Journeyman of course is 'another' genius. Haven;t heard anymore since 10 tonne lab on a compilation album a few years ago. ....More bass than space. Any word on when this guy is gonna produce more tunes? ▪
