Meet The Team

The em:t.cc Web site is an independent, non-profit project supported and developed by em:t enthusiasts around the globe. The continued dedication of these generous individuals has made em:t.cc what it is today. (See also our Frequently Asked Questions for more information about the relationship between the original t:me recording ltd. and this Web site.)

Our contributors have provided content for this Web site, documents, songs, track listings, sleeve scans, etc. The following people are the kind souls who traded their personal life for the (dubious) glory of putting it all together. These people are:

Renaud's first attempt at creating a Web site about em:t occurred in 1996. Back then, it consisted of a single page about 0094 and 1194, and the site lasted only about six months. In 2000 he gave it another shot, and you're looking at the result. Today he writes the software running the site and operates the primary em:t.cc server. He pretty much wastes his life doing so.
Rob is a partner at digitalburn where he (among other things) oversees the development of advertising and marketing material for em:t records, including the emitrecords.com Web site. Rob advises em:t.cc in the areas of user interaction, site design and policies.
Matt Hall is artistic director at em:t records in Nottingham, and the driving force behind the relaunch of em:t. He is also in charge of publishing em:t releases and coordinating their advertising and marketing efforts. Matt acts as a dedicated communication channel between em:t records and em:t.cc.
Denison Wright's addiction to em:t came about via an initial listening to sine's =:o:( . When he's not doing multimedia consulting with DW Telecom, he can be found asleep on the beach in Sarasota, Florida.
Richard Shepherd, our man in Havanna, sorry, Nottingham. He is one of the original t:me/em:t artists, qubism . Previously he has irradiated thousands of innocent people with ionising radiation and now bombards the public with RF energy whilst they're trapped in a 1.5 Tesla magnetic field. He enjoys it and even takes pictures at the same time! When asked about these dubious practises he simply said "Hey, it pays the bills!" We hope one day he can be reformed and brought back into the music making fold.

Feel free to e-mail the em:t.cc team your questions & comments. But we'd rather have you sign our guestbook instead, especially if you have something to share with others.

Retired Members

Over the years em:t.cc team members have come and gone. Each one of them brought something unique to em:t.cc, and has actively participated in making it what we have become today.

"Respect" to:

Jeremiah Parry-Hill was our editor. He was responsible for all typografical errorz, including but not limited to, those created by you, our readers. You gave him a lot of pain, and he quit (just joking). Jeremiah also helped Rob with design work.
.matt. (not his real name) was our UK agent. At the peril of his life .matt. used to spy around England, feel the ambient vibe, get in touch with the artists, and feed us tips, tidbits and news items. He was our main source of inspiration in keeping the em:t spirit alive, and we miss him dearly.
matt j weaver managed the em:t radio in the US. All-around technical guy, Matt helped with Web site issues, hacked Perl and Python scripts, and was involved in designing the back-end software.
