Skootaman, I must I am very impressed with the track "red bruise", as well.
The track really projects the tragedy of domestic violence (in GB). It is so cleverly done, it's creepy.
First the sound-bite of the girl/tart (...I might get pregnant...) and her (stupid) ex-boyfriend snapping at each other on the phone.
The second sample shows the uncaring burocratic machine (Old Bill) that gets cranky when somebody calls for help.
Chilling... (not the relaxing kind.) ▪

This guy is ultra cool and has a massive and seemingly relatively unpublicised portfolio, when compared to... well... the only other crossover experimental artist who jumps to mind, which is Mr. Richard D. James a.k.a Aphex Twin.
In contrast to Aphex's arguably arrogant avoidance of publicity, while including his face in every video and even spectographic patterns of his music, Scanner has an embarressing while confident modesty.
The funniest of many endearing and memorable stories he told was of a Belgian newspaper who printed an excited article about his imminent performance, mostly in Flemish, apart from an English headline, intending to describe his ecclectic influences drawn from his home city; "Scanner; The man who sucks off the whole of London".
Ed a.k.a Skoors [if crap, dyslexic sorry ;-) ] ▪
