coco, steel & lovebomb
| Real Name | Chris Mellor (Coco), Lene (Steel) and Craig Woodrow (Lovebomb) |
Biography
Though Coco Steel & Lovebomb grew out of the techno community, the group blends elements of garage, soul and disco with only an ambient-techno blueprint. After Coco (aka Chris Mellor) began DJing at the Brighton club Zap, his acid-house sets grew popular in the wake of the late-80s house explosion. With partner Steel (aka Lene), he formed Coco Steel & Lovebomb, originally growing out of Zap with the single "Feel It" and its follow-ups: "Touch It," "Hold It," "Work It." After taking three years to record debut album It!, the duo released it in 1994. An ambient outing, New World, followed in 1997. -- John Bush, All Music Guide

As the comma in "Coco, Steel and Lovebomb" shows they originally were a 'trio'. It isn't 'Chris Coco Steel' is it, as you say yourselves!
If memory serves me correctly: Coco = Chris, Steel = Lene and Lovebomb = Craig W (also a DJ from earlier days at the Zap Club, Brighton, and who was intrumental in their classic earier dance tracks like 'Feel It'.
I was there dancing at the time! ▪

The only real "Lovebomb" in the music industry would have to be artist/producer Daryl Lovebomb (Lovebass) out of Nashville on Mikron Records. He's been performing for over a decade in the states and probably has a copyright on the name. Just a thought. ▪

Why is there no mention of who Lovebomb is? Is it not DJ Craig Woodrow? ▪
